I was brought up in London, Southall also known as "Little India" My family ensured that I grew up in a western society with strong cultural and Indian family values. From as early age I loved being in the kitchen with my mother, where I learnt to cook and developed my own recipes.
Over the years I have enjoyed and continued teaching Indian cookery. I have been giving highly sought-after lessons from the Indian Spice Kitchen cookery classes in Leighton Buzzard enabling me to share my passion for Indian food with more people.
My varied experience has led me to be a cook, writer and food stylist. In addition, I have been teaching, cookery lessons to KS3 Food Technology and KS4 GCSE Food Preparation and Nutrition and Hospitality and Catering in Secondary Education.
